4th Annual Construction Summit North

Now in its fourth year, the largest property and construction event of its kind outside of London will connect 400 delegates with some of the biggest names in the industry and will provide a unique opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the region and across the UK construction sector.
Organised by Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and the University of Salford the event will explore how the Government’s industrial strategy, regional devolution and the affordable homes programme will shape the North’s property sector in the years to come.
Discuss the region’s infrastructure and connectivity needs, how Brexit will affect strategic planning and investment and how policy changes will impact on business.
Members of Constructing Excellence Manchester will be attending as guest speakers on two different panels:
Roger Burton, Chairman – Day 1 – “The Landscape of Opportunities”
This session shall provide for an assessment of the construction industry following June’s election, the impact of the recent mayoral elections, the significance of Greater Manchester’s devolution deal, how this impacts the industrial strategy, Northern Powerhouse and Brexit.
This session will also provide for an opportunity to address how best political and industry specific leaders can most effectively plan through the myriad of initiatives, projects and legislation-how can the sector can identify the priorities and shape the future?
It will look at the future of the Industrial Strategy, the sector deal for construction and what part businesses will play in this.
